Luton & District Model Boat Club
 Latest updates 13/12/2024 Diary updated.

Welcome
The Club was originally formed as a scale model boat club. We now however cater for modelling of all types, not just for boats. There is a high level of interest in scale and non scale sail. We have an active steam group along with a small nucleus of 'fast electric' members.

Our normal sailing meetings are at Wardown Park Lake, Luton. (Click here for map) Sailing usually takes place on Sunday and Wednesday mornings between 9am and 12 noon. Please check the diary as on occasions we are at other clubs meetings for 'Open Days' or at other venues such as Exhibitions.

The Club holds regular evening meetings on the second Monday of every month. During the autumn and winter months the venue of these meetings is the Bushmead Community Hub, Luton. During the summer months the meetings are held as evening sailing meetings at Wardown Park, Luton.

The Bushmead Community Hub is located off Hancock Drive on the Bushmead Estate, Luton, which is just off the A6 out of Luton in the direction of Bedford. (Click here for map) These meetings start at 7:30 and finish at 9pm. The Evening Sail meetings in Wardown Park normally start at 6pm and finish at 9pm.

The Club has strong ties with other model boat clubs throughout the region and is an active participant in a number of Local and National modelling shows. To find out what Luton & District Model Boat Club has to offer you, simply browse through the menu items above.
