The Club operates an annual membership subscription policy. The Membership Year runs from 1st October to 30th September. Membership subscriptions are due from 1st October each year.
The Rules of Membership are included in the Club Rules which are available here.
The membership fee covers all required insurance (third party, public liability and member to member) cover. It also covers the cost of insurance of the storage facility within the park. Club members are issued with an annual photo membership card which carries details of the club insurance cover. This card should be carried whenever visiting other clubs' venues as proof of insurance cover.
Club membership fees are used by the Club to provide any necessary equipment, make repairs to or replace all club owned equipment, subsidise social events and also provide the revenue to run the club on a day to day basis. As a club member you are entitled to hire, for a nominal fee, any of the club equipment for occasional use. This equipment includes a petrol driven generator, chairs, tables etc.
All membership fees should be paid, preferably in Cash, accompanied by a Membership Application Form, to the Club Secretary or Treasurer. Bank Transfers are also acceptable and details can be found on the Membership Form (version 2024) which can be downloaded using the link below. When payment is via Bank Transfer please give a copy of your application form to the Club Secretary or Treasurer. If that is not possible then please post your form to the address provided on the form. We prefer members not to use Cheques for payment unless there is no alternative, in which case cheques should be made payable to Luton & District Model Boat Club and posted to the Club Secretary along with your application. The address is shown on the Membership application form.
Note:- Due to recent changes in Data Protection regulations it is required that all members sign a Data Protection Waiver form in order that all club membership data may be held in a secure location to protect against loss due to computer failure.
